STEP 01
Start with a safe estimate
We currently use ~65 chars per line for Valorant, based on community reports and practical chat-preview testing.
HOW WE CALCULATE
The goal is not to claim one magic number forever. The goal is to help players avoid messy chat output today, then improve the limits with real community evidence.
Users usually do not know the exact chat limit. A warning is more useful than a static number because it catches risky rows at the moment they are about to copy.

STEP 02
Any line longer than the current estimate is highlighted before you copy, so you can spot likely wrapping or broken layout early.
STEP 03
Players can report exact limits with screenshots or clips. As reports come in, the estimate can move from community-estimate to verified.
STEP 04
The same model can cover CS2, Apex, and future games without downloading each client just to count characters manually.
